The professional administrative support person must possess a wide variety of skills to function in the modern office workplace.   Not only are the basic secretarial skills vital but also leadership, communication and managerial skills are becoming ever more important in the expanding role of today’s secretary. Topics include time management, team building, communication skills development, ethics in the workplace, confidentiality and records management, conflict resolution, stress management, harassment issues and supervisory relations. Role playing, case problems and experiential activities will provide an opportunity to develop the professional skills needed in today’s workplace. This seminar is for all secretarial staff, administrative assistants, clerks, receptionists and other support staff.
