OMB issued the NEW final “Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards” on December 26, 2013. These NEW regulations require the Tribe to modify their property and fixed asset management policies to be in compliance prior to the next audit. The new regulations establish new title definitions, usage requirements, record keeping responsibilities as well as inventory and reporting requirements. In addition, the new regulations also require the identification of alternative sources of supply, new procurement guidance policies and a prioritization process for property disposal. This seminar will provide Tribes with the knowledge and ability to acquire fixed assets and property from all possible sources and to manage them effectively. This course is for all property and procurement staff as well as those with custodial responsibilities for property.
